TILIMENT MARATHON BIKE 2019: registrations are open !

Spilimbergo (PN) - Registration is open and there is already a hunt for the ridge of the Tiliment Marathon Bike, an unmissable event for all lovers of fat wheels. Now in its 11th edition, it is the symbolic race of the Tagliamento River, at the foot of the Carnic Pre-Alps in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The year after the UEC European MTB Marathon Championship held with great success in 2018, the city of departure and arrival will be as usual Spilimbergo (Pordenone, Friuli) that the weekend of April 28, 2019 will be invaded by bikers from all over Europe.

In that weekend will face once again the best athletes of the specialty on the roads and trails of Pedemontana Pordenone and right Tagliamento. There will be three routes proposed, all with the same final that from the stony bed of the Tagliamento will accompany the athletes to the city of the mosaic, of very different length and technical commitment: 104 km / 3,250 m disl), 52 km / 1,300 m of climbing and 22 km / 300 m of climbing. Fast and technical route, made difficult by the pebbly river bed and several ups and downs, even steep with single-tracks in the woods. A route of extreme beauty and uniqueness, also appreciated by the many master athletes who every year choose this race to put themselves to the test.

The 52 km Granfondo dedicated for the 5th time to the former world champion Ilias Periklis has been reconfirmed. The Tiliment Marathon Bike will be another stage of the regional Friuli Challenge and also of the international circuit of the UCI, the MTB Marathon World Series (C3). For years the greatest Italian names of the MTB have been participating, but also foreign VIPs such as Alban Lakata, Karl Platt, Urs Huber, Alvarez Gutierrez, Leonardo Paez, Gunn Rita Dahle, Sabine Sommer... to name but a few. A weekend dedicated to sport but also to fun and art awaits you on April, 27th and 28th: exhibitions, expo, catering and the triveneto youth championship to please all bikers! We are waiting for you!
