Granfondo Colnago: test ride with Paolo Salvoldelli

The "Falco" (in Italy, the ex pro Paolo Salvoldelli is called the "hawk") promotes with full marks the long course of the Italian Granfondo. The most sparkling weekend of the season is about to approach, now are a few weeks that divide us from the Colnago Cycling Festival 2019.
On February 14th there was the official rehearsal of the long route of the Granfondo Colnago, the main event of this three day event that will enliven the shores of Lake Garda to the sound of lashes and rides on two wheels from April 5th to 7th, 2019. And to jump on the cranks for us on this day was a truly exceptional tester: Paolo Savoldelli. The two-time Pink Jersey champion climbed on his Colnago bike at the port of Desenzano del Garda, starting point of the Granfondo on April, 7th, and followed the track of the long route, admiring its beauty and especially testing its novelties.

Paolo's opinion on this new route: "This is certainly the most beautiful route in the history of Granfondo Colnago up to now. I've never seen some of the places we've been through before and I have to say they were an enchanting discovery. Cycling on Lake Garda and its hinterland is always beautiful, you go through amazing places: the places touched by the new route are the confirmation, you can see really spectacular views, to leave you breathless.

But in addition to the remarkable panorama, it is worth noting that the organizers, attentive to the fact that this is a race at the beginning of the season, have studied a route that remains interesting and at the same time suitable for all legs, with pedalable climbs and a fair elevation gain.

So, we can say that this undulating route, surrounded by hills, lake and mountains, was promoted with flying colours by Paolo Savoldelli.
