BIKE Festival Garda Trentino – Bigger than ever

This year starting signal for the mountain bike season 2019 will be given at the 26th edition of the FSA BIKE Festival Garda Trentino in Riva del Garda on May 3rd. With more than 45,000 visitors, 3000 participants and an outdoor fair with 170 exhibitors and 350 brands, the festival event is a highlight for all age groups. For a whole weekend the festival site at Lake Garda will be transformed into a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. From May 3rdto the 5th everything evolves around mountain biking.

The 2019 outdoor fair is not only bigger than ever, the exhibitors will present newest innovations and the latest trends of the season, as well as offering test bikes, special retail prices and much more. Furthermore, there will be guided bike tours and spectacular shows. The festival site opens daily from 10 a.m., the entry is free. A must for each visitor is the popular Open Night on Saturday, followed by the Riders Party. The Scott Enduro Series 2019 (May 5th) and the Bosch eMTB Challenge supported by Trek (May 3rd) have been fine tuned for even more challenges and adventure, and the youngsters will collect experience at the Scott Junior Trophy (May 5th). A novelty of this year’s BIKE Festival event will be the GHOST Recon Ride (May 3rd), a fun orienteering race for everybody. This event is not mainly about winning; but more importantly having fun.

One of the sportive highlights of the festival event is the Rocky Mountain BIKE Marathon (May 4th), which attracts many ambitious hobby riders and professional international mountain bikers alike. Participants can choose from four different distances between 28 to 89 kilometres. The tracks have been optimised; thanks to new and wider passes, the riders can now enjoy full speed from the beginning. The 4 tracks of the Marathon will mostly stay the same this year. But of course, we took your suggestions to heart and changed some sections. The first five kilometres were often jammed in the past, which made the start of the race a bit bumpy. This year we're leading the track over new wider roads, so you can ride full speed ahead. We've also changed the route of the final ascent. Instead of monotonous asphalt, we're now heading back to the finish via trails in the forest! Join us at the season opener at the Lake Garda!

EXPO - TAKING OVER RIVA!

More than 170 exhibitors with over 350 brands have registered for the expo! The 26th edition of the BIKE Festival from May 3rd to 5th, 2019 will offer you the biggest expo ever. Of course, all the well-known will be there again. At the booth from our new partner Continental everyone can benefit from the "old for new" tube change! That's just one of the many activities provided by the exhibitors. For the first time, there will be a food court on the expo area, to make your expo experience a complete one. Local specialties will be offered in a central position, where you can relax and recover from all the impressions. Some food and drinks are offered at the legendary "Open Night" as well. The expo area will turn into a pre-party before the big BIKE 30th anniversary will be celebrated!

GHOST RECON RIDE - THAT'S THE NEW ONE!

The Ghost Recon Ride is THE new event for all hobby bikers who want to have fun on the track! On 35 kilometres and 600 metres of altitude around the Lake Ledro, 4 action stations are waiting for the participants. These will not be revealed in advance, only this much: There will be some splashing at the beautiful Lago di Ledro! The track itself is not signposted, that’s the second challenge of the Ghost Recon Ride. The participants have to orientate themselves on a map. 8 to 10 points are marked, which have to be found to collect points for the ranking. Time does not matter! The beautiful trails can be enjoyed as relaxed as the fun at the action stations. All kinds of bicycles are allowed at the Recon Ride, so everyone can take part in this event! The start is in teams of two, they will be brought together after registration. We start with a shuttle to the Lago di Ledro, so that the participants are spared the first difficult ascent. At the end everyone can celebrate with a finisher beer and the "winner" gets prizes from Ghost.

SCOTT ENDURO SERIES - THE SEASON STARTS HERE!

The Scott Enduro Race is a fixed part of the Festival for many years now! The start of this year's series will be in Arco again. The thrilling trails around the old castle invite all participants to join in this spectacular race. Two of the five stages will be new to challenge all the returning riders. To get a good feeling for the tracks the training starts Saturday morning, so everybody will be well prepared when the race starts on Sunday! The heart of the old town centre is hosting the finish line and offers a great place to celebrate a successful first race of the Series 2019!
