ASVÖ-KING OF THE LAKE 2019: ready and go!

Completely closed route provides "tour feeling" - fan zones along the route, Expo and 3rd Autumn Festival in the marina.

In less than a week it will be time for the ninth ASVÖ King of the Lake on 21st of September to fight for absolute best times at the Attersee. The 47.2 km long course around the lake is closed for all vehicle traffic from 12.15 to 18.45, thus perfect racing conditions and absolute "tour feeling" are guaranteed. In addition to the many national and international hobby athletes in 2019, top stars such as the teams of the German Cycling League or Race Across America winner Christoph Strasser will enjoy this again. Cheered on by thousands of enthusiastic spectators, who will push the athletes to top performances in five specially set up fan zones along the course or the start and finish areas, the finish around Lake Salzkammergut for the approximately 1,200 starters from all over the world is about every meter and every second.

The perfect racing conditions provide an absolute "tour feeling". The 47,2 km long track will be closed from 12.15 to 18.45 for the whole vehicle traffic (also bus traffic, public traffic). A large contingent of 150 security guards, consisting of firefighters, a dozen policemen, Red Cross employees and emergency doctors, will secure the entire Attersee shore road. This gives even the participating hobby athletes the feeling of being able to take part in the race under real "professional conditions". In addition, the numerous spectators, who can cheer on the athletes along the race track thanks to specially designed fan zones, push the athletes towards the finish line.

Track closures and traffic information

Roadblock: race starts in the Marina in Kammer/Schörfling -  in clockwise direction.
Block the B152 (KM 0.1 - 1.0) from 12:15 -18:45 from the junction B152/Agerstraße to the junction B152/Bypass Schörfling (from 17:25 the B152 can be opened again from the Reitstall Kammer).
Blocking of the B152 (km 1.0 - 25.0) from 12:30 -18:00 from the bypass Schörfling to Unterach (from 17:25 the B152 can be opened again behind the broom carriage).

Public transport
No bus traffic around the lake Attersee between 12:15 - 18:45 on lines 561,562 and 548. Buses of line 561 from/to Vöcklabruck end/start "Seewalchen Anton-Bruckner-Straße". "Atterseetaxi" line 548 between Unterach and Bad Ischl is cancelled on the whole route!
